With the Detroit Lions holding a narrow 13-7 lead late in the second quarter, offensive coordinator Ben “The Evil Genius” Johnson pulled off a brilliant trick play that left the Arizona Cardinals’ defense completely baffled. Johnson, known for his creative play-calling, once again proved why he’s one of the most innovative minds in the NFL.
In a perfectly executed play, Lions quarterback Jared Goff threw a pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown cutting across the middle of the field. Just as it looked like St. Brown would make a play, he quickly flipped the ball to running back Jahmyr Gibbs, who sprinted past the confused Cardinals’ defense and into the end zone for a stunning touchdown.
The Lions capitalized on the trick play with a successful extra point from Jake Bates, extending their lead to 20-7.
Why It Matters for Detroit Lions

With the Lions looking to take control of the game, the second half promises to be just as exciting. Stay tuned as Detroit looks to close out the game and get back in the win column!
