Gosder Cherilus allegedly urinates on fellow passenger
According to a report from Daily Mail, former Detroit Lions offensive lineman Gosder Cherilus was arrested Sunday at Logan Airport following an incident of alleged disruptive behavior on a flight to Dublin, Ireland. The situation escalated to the point where the flight had to be rerouted to Boston, where Cherilus was taken into custody.
Details of the Incident and Charges
The incident reportedly occurred around 2 a.m. when Gosder Cherilus allegedly urinated on another passenger. As the situation unfolded, flight crew members requested assistance from state police after Cherilus became uncooperative, leading to his removal from the aircraft. He now faces charges of disorderly conduct and disturbing a flight crew, with his arraignment scheduled for Monday.
Cherilus, who was drafted 17th overall by the Lions in 2008 out of Boston College, played five seasons with the team, starting in 71 of his 75 appearances. His NFL career extended over nine seasons, including stints with the Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before his retirement in 2017. Now 40 years old, Cherilus resides in Wakefield, Massachusetts.
